1. Do your research

Not all boutiques are alike! Some speak to the classic, more traditional bride (like Covet!) and others cater to the non-traditional bride, (like our big sister, Everthine!) Make sure the boutique you are visiting carries the style and vibe you are going for. Start following shops and designers on Instagram, Pinterest, and TikTok. Save looks that speak to you and remember to show your stylist the day of your appointment. Covet was created for the classic bride who values a traditional wedding day look, very different from Everthine! Everthine caters to the modern-day, less-traditional bride. Therefore, you will find lots of effortless and unique silhouettes and fewer ball gowns and structured styles at our boutiques. Chose the boutique that feels the most like YOU! As small businesses, everyone’s time is valuable. So let’s make it count for all!

2. Trust your stylist and have an open mind

Our stylists know each and every gown as if they were her best friends. Her job is to listen to your wants, needs and to understand your vision. She knows which dress looks best on what body types and personalities. We are experts in our field! Keep your mind open to ideas and suggestions from your stylist. The majority of the time, brides end up choosing a gown they never thought they would like. It’s always the one you least expect that makes you gasp (or tear up)!

3. Skip the entourage

Your dress should be a reflection of you, not your entourage. While it might seem fun to bring your closest friends and family dress shopping, it can easily make finding “the one” more difficult. Bring the people who know you best and whose opinions you value most. When this one loves it and that one hates it, you can easily lose sight of YOUR vision. We suggest 1-2 guests max for an intimate and unforgettable experience.

4. It’s OKAY to Say Yes at your 1st Appointment!

If you think you’ve found the dress of your dreams, it’s okay to say yes! Over-shopping can easily lead to confusion and overwhelm. The more dresses you try on, the more confused you will get. When you’ve found your gown, the best piece of advice we can give you is to stop shopping! Focus your energy on the next wedding day task!
